About HPBOSE
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education is also known as HPBOSE is an agency of the Government of Himachal Pradesh. The HP Board of School Education was founded in the year 1969 as per Himachal Pradesh Act No. 14 of 1968 with its headquarters at Shimla, but later it was shifted to Dharamshala in January 1983. At present, over 8000 schools are affiliated with the Board. The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education sets up 1650 examination centres for over 500,000 examinees every year. Himachal Board of School Education is also responsible for conducting the board exams for Classes 10 and 12.
Latest Notification: Himachal Pradesh Government announced on 5 May 2021 that Class 10 final exams conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) have been cancelled, and Class 12 board exams have been postponed till further orders. The students of HPBOSE Class 10 will be promoted to Class 11, according to the norms suggested by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) for their students, added the HP Government.

Himachal Board of School Education conducts exams for Class 10, Class 12, J.B.T and T.T.C. Around 5 Lakh students appear in the examination every year conducted by HP Board.
